Web Search Help
Summary
Explains three levels of web search: no AI, AI-summarized, and fully AI-assisted automatic research for staying current.
Key quotes
No AI: the search button next to send runs a plain web search and shows you the results directly. No model involved.
Answers built from search reflect the results retrieved, not the whole web.
All three levels send your search query to Brave Search, and Brave's privacy policy applies to that processing.
This documentation explains how TreadLightlyAI’s web search operates, offering clarity and agency over AI usage. Users can toggle between raw search results, AI-generated summaries, or automatic research based on their needs. Brave Search handles queries, adhering to its privacy policy, while AI model providers process non-search messages.
