What we keep about you, who can read it, and how to remove it.

Reading the site

The site runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Display settings, such as theme and text size, are saved only in your browser.

Petitions

We use your email to confirm your signature, and to send occasional updates about the campaign only if you ask for them. We never show it or share it.

What we keep when you sign

• Your name.
• Your email address.
• Whether you want your name shown on the public list of signers.
• Whether you want email updates about the campaign.

Your IP address is used for a moment to slow down repeat attempts. It is not saved with your signature.

Who can read it

Only Dangerous Robot and the petition's authors. Cloudflare stores the list, Resend delivers the confirmation email, and updates are sent from a petition author's Gmail account, with every address hidden from the other recipients. The public list shows only the names of signers who chose to be listed.

How long we keep it

• If a signature is not confirmed after 4 days, we send a reminder. A signature that is never confirmed is deleted after 7 days.
• When a petition closes, we delete its signers' email addresses. Names and the count stay.
• If you confirmed your signature and asked for updates, we keep your email address after the petition closes, until you ask us to stop.

Stopping updates

To stop updates, reply to any update or write to contact@dangerousrobot.org. Your signature stays.

Use the removal link in your confirmation email, or write to contact@dangerousrobot.org.
